YES DUDE
WHY DO I HAVE TO USE MONTH DAY YEAR 😭 day month year makes more sense..
the only reasoning i can see behind. month day year is bc “numbers generally go smallest to biggest” or smth 😭
i hate mm/dd/yy because i always have to convert dd/mm/yy for the people who decided to follow the american time 💔 also i agree it makes no sense i feel like fastest should go first then slowest (day is fastest, month is middle, year is slowest) -🎸
I GUESS SO our school is made for british english so we always use for example "8 September" and not "September 8" so day always come into our mind first -🎸
Because I say it’s April 12th 2025 so it makes sense to write it 4/11/25. Plus 11/4/25 is confusing to look at big number small number big number is weird to look at
We’re also taught to write out dates like this too: April 4th 2025 to keep the numbers together. It all comes down to wether you say April 4th 2025 or The 4th of April 2025
help but this way is also confusing for me because nobody but americans use it so when i see 4/11/25 i automatically think of 4th of november, not april 11th,, we share the same confusion but just flipped 😭😭😭 im used to the big number in front, it looks natural to me.
and april 11th writtten like that could make sense but not every language starts with the month first so yeahhh imo dd/mm/yy is still better. it will always be more logical to be going day --> month --> year then month --> day --> for me personally
It’s def a country/societal thing😭 it makes me wonder how we started doing it that way😭 but I think it’s really funny that we just have so many things that are “the Americans do it this way and everyone else does it this way” like idk why we do it different but I guess😭

I think I mostly end up falling back to mm/dd/yyyy because a lot of my friends are American 😭
BUT YEAH I AGREE DD/MM/YYYY MAKES THE MOST SENSE
I KNOW RIGHT
dd/mm/yy my beloved <3
But at least I use Dd/mm/yy
but it doesn't matter. yy/mm/dd is better than both of them.
