I wouldn't be surprised if they cancelled it. The cyberattack made a huge impact on their career path and they lost their motivation to make a story DLC for Spider-Man 2.

The hackers actually said the information about the dlc may have already been outdated by the time they leaked it. My guess is it was canceled because of the exploding budget of Spider-man 2, and was canceled before the hack happened.

That last part, it's already pretty obvious they can't. SM: Miles Morales & Spider-Man 2 were rushed and compromised in quality because Sony needed something for the PS5 those years. As much as I love Insomniac, it's pretty obvious they're Playstation's Marvel factory now, which is sad to look at.

On the other hand, the sales of R&C and Resistance aren't great. IG needs big project for their large team and with Spider-Man and Wolverine, they have two big franchises to work on. Either way, I want more Ratchet & Clank.

Rift Apart sold very well, per the leaks it had sold 4 million copies as of June 2023 (prior to PC launch), which is certain to have made it a very profitable game again per the leaked budget it was carrying.

I'm sure we will see more Ratchet from Insomniac, even if it takes a while.
