My version of the "high road low road" demo for AP Physics awhile ago. Kids were working on TIPERs and I knew they struggled with one part so when they would come up to ask I would reply "Go play with those Hot Wheels." They would hesitantly head over but always ended up understanding it better. π’

Just popped back to have a look and it's a few people posting many times...
Still feel I get more variety over there...
Maybe it's the fact that I never actually found this community at the other place, but I'm absolutely loving seeing what people are up to here.
Or just random things that come up in the news feed because here it's about who you follow.
Have you started following the folks in the #iteachphysics start pack that @afreeparticle.com put together?
When I moved here someone who'd taught here (US) told me...
'it's all mechanics'.
Clearly it's not, but it's a huge emphasis.
And it's an elective, not compulsory (or only locally so)...
LOVE the UK cogsci stuff, but I'm in the US... it seems (am I wrong?) that the UK contingent is moving over here.
In a way I feel I can be more use over there...
I just noticed how many useful things I found each week on the other place.
I think there are people who pull people down (I've had that) in both places . I'm in the muting game big style on that.
I'm also not sure any platform like this lends itself to nuanced debate. That's for IRL.
I hope he doesnβt take that person.
Joe, I think you look young and vibrant.
Side note, I feel like we need a thread of physics texts being used...to hold up lab equipment.
Our books are 20 yrs old & I'm honestly a little worried what I'll do when they start to fall apart π¬
