I've gotten better at not venting into an online void and talking about real things with people I know instead, so the output problem is partially solved. But the input isn't. I need stuff to put in my head in odd line standing moments.

I've been off Twitter for months and *still* start to type in the site as a reflex when I open my web browser - I think folks probably underestimate the degree to which habits rewire your brain.
At this point the only reason I know anyone stays on there is out of ease to communicate with family, or out of obligation. And while there is a twinge of the former, between work and a social group I'm an officer of, it's really the latter keeping me there.
That said, about three years ago I uninstalled the app from my phone. It made a WORLD of difference for me and how I use that website, which is to say hardly at all outside of work hours.
