The entire point of a political party is to fight for the things its members believe in. We shouldn’t have to constantly do this much work to get the Democrats to do their core job. People shouldn’t need to beg Democrats to vote right or simply speak out. The party has failed its core function.

The party has not failed its core function because its core function is to wear down, arrest, or crush any progressive movement in America.
The difference is now, that the core function is inescapably at odds with Dems’ nominal purpose.
