Canadians that are “low-information” type people (MAGA wannabes) are so focused on Mr. Pierre Trump’s slogans “Axe the Tax, Cut the Crime, Build the Homes” that they fail to realize he doesn’t have a plan to actually achieve this, all while he wines & dines w/billionaires & corporate elites
According to history, this ‘country’ was built *by and for* wealthy, white, cishet, able-bodied businessmen to profit from genocide, resource extraction, and wage enslavement. Not a damn thing has changed.
A fat lot of good it’s done us 🙄.
We’ve had a big wealth gap for as long as I can remember. Nothings changed it so far cuz we buy into the have/have not business across provinces 🤷♀️
Not me! I buy from locally owned businesses, if they don’t have what I want I ask if they can order it in; if they can’t, then I search online for a Canadian owned business & order from them. #buylocal
So like almost a quarter of Canadians think rich people half too much influence but are going to vote for Conservatives who will pander their policy to rich people.
Liberals were doing fine until the pandemic when everything went off the rails. Trudeau's ego gradually chased off the smart people in his cabinet who were providing the real brains: Morneau, Butts, and now Freeland, leaving the party unable to handle the post-pandemic era.
I loathe the relentless, toxic mis/disinformation the Cons have been able to freely disseminate the last 2 years, but it's hard to believe that the least-interested-in-politics doesn't know that Cons = governing FOR the rich (and only the rich).
Furthermore, 14% of Canadians say that rich people do certainly have political influence, perhaps not enough though it does cause inequality in the country.
"If I'm rich, of course I want unequal influence," said one bofo uppermiddle class doozy
So people are going to give those rich people even MORE political influence by electing the Conservatives and their RICH leader, Pierre Poilievre, to create more economic inequality, as the rich will get richer and the poor will get poorer under a Conservative government. 😒
Now, if only they could draw the ties with how Conservative politicians are choosing to purposefully maintain taxes hurting individuals (e.g. GST on prepared food) whilst self-crucifying themselves over taxes hurting primarily the corporate world (e.g. the carbon pricing scheme)…
Absolutely true, the United States is a prime example. Obviously massive contributions to a political party can strongly influence the outcome of an election. Some could say "elections can be bought", sounds familiar.
Canadians should be more grateful. Without people like me and my shareholder buddies, Canadians would starve & freeze.
Dogs need a master.
Now get back to work!
Actually 3% are the rich, 11% are those who have been tricked into thinking that if they listen to the 3%, they too will become the rich. Also, their IQ is under 50.

And now Trudeau is gone.
I mean, how many times do they have to prove it?
We aren’t perfect by a long shot but we’re better than some!
