So today is release day. I Think I'm in Love with an Alien is out in the world.
It feels awkward to talk about this book with... *gestures at everything* but if I don't talk about it, you won't know about it.
It's a love letter to fandom, to science fiction fantasy conventions, to cosplay.

It's about meeting online friends for the first time. It's about acceptance and found family and about how friendships are every bit as important as romantic love.
I've also never met any hot aliens.
My hope is this:
If you read this book, it will shelter you. You will have a good time.
Are you hiding one somewhere?
No book is one size fits all.
With this, I wrote an aspirational world. I wrote things the way I would like them to be. Not to deny what's going on currently but to offer respite from it.
If you could use a soft spot to land, try it. Thank you.
