I wanted to unconditionally adore Love Hurts but the script needed so much help. The actors did an amazing job and the fights were brutal but the story didn't hang together. It had so much potential!! It's worth watching for the actors, however. I don't regret the time spent.

My son is interning in DC for 3mths with our Congressional Rep, answering phones most days. He says calls are still coming, but it's tapered. Please, call your reps. The volume of voter comment matters. Immigrants at Gitmo & stripping lawyers from unaccompanied immigrant children are wrong.

I would just like to point out that it's neither liberal nor leftist to want companies not to be able to scam consumers with impunity. It's also not liberal to prefer that banks can't steal people's life savings. People who never vote and call themselves "apolitical" enjoy these protections.

Lundy Bancroft's "Why Does He Do That?" is on for $1.99 in at least CA and US, not sure about elsewhere. This book lays out the mindset behind those engaging in intimate partner violence and why attempts at therapy fail; it's easy to follow, wastes no words, and I consider it a rare must-read.
