I had a fellow sword fighter, real life, who worshipped Odin. He intended to go to Valhalla. True believer.

I am also a Norse pagan but I have a more nuanced view of things. It's more like, everyone only gets to die once, so if you can do some good in the world by being willing to make that sacrifice, that's a better way to spend it than waiting to waste away.
