BREAKING 2025: Scientists aren't sure if D-Wave's topological quantum computer is really better than a regular computer.

I am not sure where Geoff got that D-Wave is a "topological" quantum computer. That is certainly news to me.
Also, the authors of the competing preprint do not seem to claim that they are (yet) able to solve quite the same problems as D-Wave's machine.
