It does not matter if your shitty start-up fails. The VC culture expects most of them to do so. It does matter if you mess up the federal government because its a lot harder to repair what has been broken rather than, y'know, not break it in the first place.

That was 2014. And here we are now.
It may use business principles to parts of its work, and employ businesses to provide some of the services it needs or wants to offer the public - but in itself it's not a business.
It's much more than that.
Too many people are charmed by individuals who aren't necessarily even particularly good business leaders saying it's simple to govern, and that they are the best to do it.
For people, Musk sucks.
