He could have come in, changed nothing, won a few more games and we might be a few places higher now, but he knows that ultimately, if he doesn’t make the step change he’s (2/5)
This is short term pain (a season or two) for hopefully longer term payoff.

Just look at Chelsea. 4 months ago, they were a laughing stock and Raheem Sterling being shipped out was THE news story. Now look at them. Something’s clicked.
