Absolutely agree. I think that was part of the idea of California’s community college system, which was a wonderful thing. Not sure of its current state and am frankly too chicken to look into it.
California's Community College system is better than ever. I went to a community college for three years when I was undecided about what to do or how to do it. Had some wonderful teachers. I didn't get good grades but I learned so much. It really helped me figure things out.
When I retire I wish I could take some archeology classes focused on foods and clothing of ancients. On a silly note, right now I'd like to go back to kindergarten and just do a lot of colouring and playing
Please do make time to color and play. It is so important for your mental health and general sense of well-being. I love making art, it is so restorative and fun.
in some countries it is, in others, people vote themselves out of Democracy and end up with a Fascist Oligarchy. That's why Trump always says "I love the poorly educated."
“With the California College Promise Grant waiving fees for nearly half of students in the California Community Colleges, andour $46-per-unit fee for community college courses being the lowest in the nation.“
I'm 52 and I went back to community college a year and a half ago to finish the associates I abandoned 30 years ago. Every professor has been encouraging, the students have been awesome to me, and my advisor has been my cheerleader. No one made me feel too old to accomplish this! It's been amazing!
