I’m very familiar with the APUSH curriculum and there is not a single part of it where reading the Bible - or any other religious text - would be curricularly appropriate. It’s honestly a better fit for AP Lit where they discuss allusions. (Obviously they do not care, but still)

I taught this curriculum for several years and never cracked a bible. Did crack many many other books and whatever other sources needed to build context when my students didn’t understand why something happened. I would be afraid to teach it now.
