Pure, nonsensical cruelty from the DWP. For 6 years, without telling her, they let this mother unknowingly earn 83p-£1.92p per week too much as a dinner lady while juggling caring for her son with severe autism. Then they slammed her with a bill for £10k. Vile. https://www.theguardian.com/society/2025/may/03/mother-of-autistic-boy-left-with-10000-debt-after-breaching-dwp-rules-by-192-a-week?CMP=Share_iOSApp_Other

1) this is all under rules the Tories brought in
2) Labour set up an independent review of the situation last year, which is due to report back with recommendations within weeks.

Working while on benefits is actually dangerous.
One tiny error, not even your own, can lead to destitution.
And it can come at any time. Out of nowhere.
Leading to generalised anxiety, as its just always there, ethereal and yet a real threat.

One rule for the Poor & another for the Rich - Has Dido Harding been chased for the Billions she wasted. Or Michelle Mone or.....
6 years, they fine her for their error!
It is all Labour’s cruelty now.
