So, most places curate an algorithm based on what you like, who you interact with, how you interact, etc, things you might like, ads, etc. This is why engagement farming works.

As for "discover", I don't know, as I don't use that tab and am not as familiar with its mechanics.
i go on about how i was barely too young to experience the “golden age” old internet, and how i always wondered how it was. i’m glad that this is a step in the right direction for that.

I've had a lot of self reflection this week over how I've used social media, the way I've begun thinking about people and my interactions with them, and how I've changed in small ways because of it.
I didn't like that, to be completely honest.
This has been a VERY refreshing change.
It's been incredibly refreshing to find it again, and I'm very happy with the changes in how I think and feel because of it.
As far as I can tell, your algorithms are your feeds (mutuals, popular, following, etc).

It's all friends vibing, all the time. You'll see a big variety of things on your feed, if you have a big variety of people and interests you follow.
YOU CONTROL YOUR ALGORITHM.
That also means that the Big Social Media Accounts who engagement farm, rage bait, etc., aren't gonna work here.
And if you try to operate under the same methodology...
