Yeah, in the NZ system, Max and Adam Bandt would have kept their seats as they got the most first pref votes in their respective seats. And the senate vote would have given them the proportional party seats that you have in NZ.

The Coalition moved further right, leaving the centre for Labor and the Teals. This isolated the Greens and had them viewed as uncompromising left-wing radicals. They are progressive but there was also vacant space just left of centre that they could have moved into and occupied as well, but didn't.
