Is it sad that I liked the two episodes Worf had with K’Ehleyr more than any other relationship he had? Worf/Troi felt too rushed and awkward IMO and even as a huge DS9 Stan, I was kinda indifferent on Worf/Dax tbh 🤷‍♂️

I mean, relationships are ideally supposed to bring out the best in you, you help each other grow, you're not getting into a long term relationship to do zero work, the trick is deciding how much work is too much and figuring out if it's fruitless

As you said, the relationship works where you help *each other* grow. I can't really think of a way in which Worf would help Diana grow, though to be fair the show never really got a chance to explore that.

But he doesn't prioritize her, she doesn't seem to hold it against him, but I think she deserved better, though I'd argue she deserved better from the writers too, I like Troi, but it took a long time for them to flesh her out more

I 100% agree. The key is if it's a person who doesn't need an external source of "fixing." Everyone has demons, and if the person is someone who's redeemable and likable with a capacity to change, I go from "this is oof" to "yes, inject that in my veins." Reliance in love over trama bonds anyday.

Klingon mating involves the women being incredibly violent so I imagine they would have incredible sex after Troi is stuck spending an entire day saying “yes mother, but…” while prying Laxwana off of her boss with a crowbar.
