the argument i've seen is that if trans people using the correct bathrooms is normalized, people wont immediately go "that man is going into the woman's bathroom" and flag it as a problem

Let alone preemptively denying rights to a whole group of people because someone else might pretend to be them and hypotheically commit a crime. I watched The Town, and now think Nuns shouldn't be allowed in banks.
