This is the first news article I've seen to suggest that the last decade of campus panic — the activities of Heterodox Academy in this particular case — might have something to do with Trump's attack on universities. https://www.nytimes.com/2025/05/05/arts/harvard-trump-viewpoint-diversity.html?smid=nytcore-android-share

Would they also be required to have diverse viewpoints?
They assume they can use it against their enemies and stay safe themselves.
We had a Republican running for office apply for a position a handful of years back.
Not only was he NOT QUALIFIED AT ALL for the role, he openly stated women don’t belong in leadership, being gay is a “sin”, etc.
I was like, “Yeah, no…”
Then, he tried to tell me I had to “specifically reject him with the reason why I didn’t want to hire him.”
He grumbled.

1. Viewpoints of people who are ignorant
2. Sociopathic viewpoints
If you understand things, you’ll see injustices & that they can be rectified (often w/ simple changes)
So, either people don’t understand or they do & *want* the injustice
It's a response to a problem entirely manufactured in their own insecure, closed little minds
They are demanding that we legitimize simplistic, reactionary nonsense as important scholarship.
