A huge gulf between a public opposing genocide and the old establishment parties still continuing to enable it.
On so many issues we need a real alternative - an antidote to Reform - that prioritises people over profit.

But I think this is one situation where 'left-wing' hides a lot of nuance. For example Galloway could credibly be called economically left-wing
Most "left" (and "right") are really post-WWII centre ground. Corbyn et al are just unilateral dogmatists (ditto Thatcherites).
It's ok if a politician doesn't agree with some policies but if they disagree with most of them it's probably not the one for them
You can be strong on nuclear weapons, defence, NATO and know that peace is a process: trust building, deconfliction, verification, foreign policy building human rights and civic society, culture change, international institutions etc.
The hard left and hard right have their dogmatists and dodgy characters. We all know who they are.
We need to learn from the right and work together for a common aim.
Some form of leftwing coalition, an alliance is urgently needed.
I think the problem is what do you mean by 'left-wing'? When it comes to things like trade unions and tax reform he is definitely to the left of Labour
I see the left as being split between social liberalism and social conservatism.
