A 'Strange Creature' is still a strange creature, no matter the size.

So A Kaiju can be a big as a mountain or a soda can.

I know I'm likely wrong some how. So enlighten me please.

Kaijin refers to smaller than the city sizes, including human scale. Your sentai and kamen rider monsters are Kaijin.

Daikaiju refers more to cosmic scale horrors and monsters. Stuff like Hellstar Remina might be a Daikaiju.

But I'll happily be corrected.

☝️🤓 I know I'm going to be "third panel guy" here a little bit, but as I understood it Kaiju does in fact refer to the mid sized city destroyer. IIRC it's based on when it was introduced to Japanese society.

The other "size ratings" thus use city breaker Kaiju as the baseline.
