now that the EPA has grudgingly begun revising US methane emission estimates upwards based on a preponderance of evidence, will they go back and revise historical emissions estimates accordingly? if so, much of the apparent post-2005 emission decline from coal-to-gas switching will evaporate 😬

but admitting that today's US emissions aren't much below 2005's would certainly hurt US global standing on climate, such as it is
Annoyingly, the gov't made the claim (LNG=climate positive) without ever putting their math down anywhere... so it's hard to actually hold them accountable.
