How are you supposed to learn which things work out & which not if you don’t use references? Seeing posing memes on pinterest and trying to recreate them helped me a lot & also is so inspiring!

Maybe it got confused with tracing? (& as long as you don’t upload it & just use it to learn: go for it)

It's a regular debate, with one small side considering anyone who uses references to be cheating or unimaginative and everyone else shouting them down and using Norman Rockwell as an example

I have no idea how they'd ever expect anyone to draw if they couldn't use references. People and animals can only bend and move in so many ways to begin with lol. I've seen so much gatekeeping on poses too. I wish people would use some logic.
