When a company with more money than god resorts to this instead of hiring an artist or putting together a photo shoot, it really drives home how much gen ai is about consolidating wealth
I was never particularly interested in Fantastic Four (though I actually enjoyed that first movie with Chris Evans quite a bit (didn't watch the one with Silver Surfer)) but this one looks like it could be a fun popcorn flick—although like you said, lazy lol
Reminds me of the fact that many of the major media companies have been using AI for movie posters ever since Covid-19 started. These major media companies prefer real artists to be used for the movies, and want to cut costs on advertising as much as possible, under the belief it is too expensive.
The said, advertising costs over $1-$2 billion dollars for most movies, but the mass-majority of advertising cost consist of executive, consultant, and management pay. Less than 10% of advertising cost goes towards making advertisements. They spend more paying the rich than they do workers.
