I think you are right about 'not necessarily in Florida' but it seems a bad indicator for the GOP.

I don't know WI politics ate all but the margin of victory for Judge Crawford seems very large.

Maybe some of the 35% who sat out the November 2024 election have engaged

Fine is a terrible candidate, disliked by most in the process - but his underperformance is very much notable given the weakness of FDP and the heavy red tilt of that area of Florida. All his bills died in FL, and he even gave up on the last one.

For Escambia County to go for the Dem. It is huge. A few years back, if you weren't registered Republican, you had no voice. Many positions were run unopposed. Escambia County has the second highest population of military retirees of any county in the country. A good sign.

the electorate is more impatient and fickle...trump, maga and the gop will discover in the midterms that with a poor economy, these voters are loyal to no cause but their own self interest.
