Late 2016, early 2017, I had multiple visits to the urgent care and ER for what seemed like beyond severe migraines. Within 24 hours of receiving another migraine cocktail infusion at the ER another one started. Taking all the pain meds at once seemed the only option.
The health care system is based on a for profit model. Not a patient centered model. Your pain is a commodity to be manipulated for profit. Unfortunately undiagnosed pain is easy to make someone else’s problem.
