Excellent choice
Learned C, then Python, started getting exposed to C# and read a book on Go. Never went back to anything else after that.
Honestly think it’s a great first language to teach as well, as it lets you teach things like pointers and introduce students to syntax and usage that is also popular in other languages.
Python is kinda crying in the corner in terms of standards 😂
and pip is looking at multiple versions of this package to determine
which version is compatible with other requirements.

If you want to make a game and only know python just learn Godot, Because if your learning python then you have to be a beginner who needs an engine.
I would elaborate a little, the frontend is great, python is a very easy language to pick up. The backend is absolutely atrocious for anything performance sensitive
