He’s not around. Despite his anti-Scottish stance I enjoyed his posts. Not seen one for ages, he no longer appears in my “following” list and he doesn’t come up in a search
I see this and I raise you: I was blocked on election night because a month before I had said "I am afraid every part of this assumption is wrong" when he said Corbyn would get four per cent of the vote in Islington North.
It made me an awful lot better about the fact I was at best only technically correct. (I said he would do at least as well as Dave Nellist, who got 22 per cent, and maybe as well as SO Davies, who got 51 per cent. JC got 48 per cent)
I remember this discussion because I wrote a piece on this Q around the same time which basically argued it was a heavy lift but cited these two as evidence it wasn’t impossible. It got the usual provocative headline, which Corbyn fans now regularly send screen grabs of to me.
Talking to people in Islington North Labour, it seemed to go horribly wrong quite late for them - or at least they only picked it up then. I thought the Feinstein vote share in Holborn & St Pancras was the bigger shock. That really surprised me.
