It’s so important to not let yourself become bitter or disheartened or cynical. To not let the news of the world break your spirit. Because I’m already doing that. It’s my thing. Find your own, stop copying me.

I hear you. In the midst of all the darkness, maybe go outside then find a beautiful flower to gaze at. Sit down somewhere, close your eyes and feel the greatness of our universe. I find if I can swim it helps me connect to the beauty of life. I hope you feel better.
"The West", ie, liberal democracies lost their leader - the USA to fascism & sadism 100 days ago, but Europe, Canada, and others are holding strong and stepping up!!! That's the bright side - not "the world" crashing only the US is crashing. Now decent Americans have to step up to defeat trump/GOP
😂
Sorry. I'm sharing space there and daily trying to crawl back to action and hold a bit of hope, but often failing so, I guess I'm copying you...a lot!
Are you claiming bitter, disheartened, AND cynical? Because I’m full up of disheartened. Is there a derivation of disheartened that I could claim by chance? Discouraged, maybe?
This might help—stay away from the constant sound bites of what Trump/Graham/Kennedy/Bondi just said, and, instead, focus on what Booker/Waltz/AOC/Pritzker et al just said—listening to the courageous lifts spirits and gives me hope. You are not alone.
Once a reporter asked him, "Do you really think you are going to change the policies of this country by standing out here alone at night in front of the White House with a candle?" A.J. Muste replied: "Oh I don't do this to change the country. I do this so the country won't change me.

To deprive his body of fuel and hydration in preparation for a remarkable feat of patriotism, to set a historic record of dissent, to speak for millions who are being ignored - this is the work of heroes.
We can be cynical or insulting,
but the truth is - this is a Battle Cry!
I’m old school, get off my lawn, bitter, disheartened and cynical. But I hide it behind an overwhelming layer of despair, so you might not even notice.

None of you are prepared for the emotional rollercoaster that ilhas been my life, Cynicism belongs to the Queen and that Queen is me.
Now let's all be depressed *together.* I'll bring snacks and a bad movie.
My wife and I struggle with it as you do. Hang in there.
Impatiently "standing back & standing by" for Democracy.
Not that I'm really in a position to help.
But if they pick on someone in front of me, they won't be dragging my human fam away without...
I say, back off, that's my thing!

A good remedy is to join a picket line as part of the Tesla Takedown! It's good for the spirits.
