Cmon Howie. Bryce Huff plus Kenny Pickett and a 2027 2nd and a 2028 6th for Garrett. You can do it. Cleveland front office is almost the same as the Giants dude.
Would love to have him. We had a 15 win season riddled with injuries to our best players. We are not one player away, We are there!Just need to stay healthy!
I’m fine with FTP when it comes to Garrett but do we really want to possibly trade away one of Branch/Gibbs/Kerby/Alim, in addition to picks?
Should be calling until they’re blue in the face. 1/1 player and a major piece towards a Super Bowl run. Plus he’s not signed long term so it doesn’t fuck the roster going forward.
As much as they promote culture do we think Garrett is a good fit? Had to be a legitimate reason outside of dollars and cents that they didn’t go full court press on him before trade deadline this season.
also another point, the Lions draft out of their mind. I would not be surprised if this year or next year they don’t find the next miles Garrett. I don’t know, they’re loaded. I think they’re good. Of course he would help…
Feels like a team as close as Detroit can get a solid option without having to trade what it’d take to get Garrett. Maybe sign Mack for a year or two and draft an edge that can learn and play under Mack and Hutchinson. It’s not like they have some big talent gap, the Lions D was ravaged by injuries.
At a minimum it’s the same deal that the Rams offered the Lions to acquire Stafford minus Goff. Minimum because those are expected to be late firsts unless something catastrophic happens.
They should, but they won’t. If we’ve learned anything from the last few drafts and free agency periods, it’s that Holmes doesn’t value the position. He’ll continue to find cheap, injury prone players to platoon. Don’t get your hopes up.
I'd still be concerned about it, yeah, but he's a 1 of 1 guy. You have to search every corner IMO because they're "this" close to a Super Bowl right now and he's absolutely the "this"

If it's too expensive you drop out.
If it's the next two first rounders and a 3rd, you pull the trigger and win the superbowl with every qb getting hurt against you
if you're serious about all this you MAKE. THE. CALL.
