I wish more people would look into how disabled people are treated here in Canada instead of always just saying "at least you don't live in the States" or the one time I got called selfish for not wanting to apply for MAiD.
if society decides to preserve work as a requirement for wealth distribution, they will work 450,000 hours per week (at minimum) to keep what they have
That said if you slap people who are well intentioned but don't go far enough towards the ideal for your personal tastes then you're going to end up with a lot of people angry at you and your suggestions.
Even in a modern day socialized society like Canada that is difficult. The problem starts in where the money is being spent. Federal minimum wage in the US is 7.25. might want to start there first.
I agree that no one should live in poverty, but argument "no one who works full time..." has is use, since is targeting one of fundamental lies of capitalism AKA that people who live in poverty are simply lazy and they will not be in the situation, if they just go and work.
No one! No one should be hungry. No one should be without safe homes, medical care or education. Watch the statistics skyrocket for our population that falls into the distressed categories.
Idk. My whole life the finnish govt has cut from public spending with the premise that it will boost productivity and bring a better quality of life for everyone. Now there's a growing bunch of howling fascists in the ruling coalitiok and things haven't really improved for 90% of us.
Us dems, us republicans and pretty much every major party everywhere. Will they realize they are just acting as stepping stones towards oligarchy? Some of them do (us republicans, among others) and relish it. Others don't and refuse to even entertain the thought (us dems, among others).
