Caddy is pretty cool. As an FYI, it’s part of the Bluesky PDS, but to keep it running smoothly, you’ll need to configure it beyond the default PDS setup. And don’t forget to run validate—unless you enjoy it complaining every startup.

I've been using Caddy for a simple reverse proxy for my docker compose stack. I'm a CKA but operating my homelab with Kubernetes became a second job. Caddy made SSL dead simple. Can easily handle multiple domains in a single config.

If you already read the full docs, maybe reading similar questions in the caddy forum may shed some light instead, some aspects I understood from other people's code.

But yeah, if you want to enjoy caddy you probably need to embrace the syntax, I liked it from start, except the Snippets syntax

There's Caddy Modules that allow customizing Caddy with Go lang, one third-party module is caddy-yaml, it allows you to config with yml, maybe give it a try

yeah, i don't want to build a server, i just want to reverse proxy a few things and do ssl. pingora is great, don't get me wrong, but this app is gonna have like... ten users. no need for something that optimized
