Struggling with social cues as an autistic person isn't necessarily missing them entirely. It's sometimes being painfully aware that someone's annoyed with you... knowing you're making it worse with every word... and having absolutely NO idea why it's happening or how to fix it.

Is it awkward? Hell yes. Some may walk away, sure, but others have down-shifted into a direct communication style.
When they try to imply I'm rude or dumb, I ask them to try to explain. They can't articulate it.
I KNOW when I’m not getting it.
It is SO painful. #Autism
Of course, then what's actually upsetting them is that you're telling them a fact that they don't want to hear. So 🤷
“If you were interacting with someone whose first language was Lithuanian, and they sounded rude, how would you resolve things?”

Do I just have no social skills or is this more in with what you’re talking
2) it shifts the onus to you, bc now /you/ become "rude" by questioning my answer, transparent as it is
So I think the unfortunate answer is, no, they can't even see the problem to fix it.
I literally never know when rules are applicable.
Um , how about you ACTUALLY tell us , FFS????
People with Allism will go out of their way to avoid accommodating Autistics ..then get all Pissy when there’s a problem
Just EXPLAIN what was wrong so we can rectify any harms done .
