4. Who will pay for these very expensive glacier/geo-engineering solutions? Could this be another situation where early mitigation efforts (prevention) are far less expensive than adaptation measures (cure)?

3. If desalination is suggested, this is energy dependent and therefore expensive. Geo-engineering is also expensive (the sulfates in atmosphere solution) and control of the dispersion and cross-border atmospheric effects have not been clearly investigated.

2. With losses of land-based glaciers worldwide due to the climate crisis, freshwater is already a dwindling resource and with only 2.5% of water on Earth being freshwater, perhaps it is better reserved for other uses such as agriculture.

Thank you for posting. Four unmentioned concerns though:

1. Antarctica is effectively a polar desert (less than 50 mm per year in its interior.) so where does all the freshwater come from for these glacier/geo-engineered efforts?
