Korean DMZ of 250 km was initially supported by 40,000 US troops.
Ukraine-Russia contact line of 1,200 km is ~5x the length.
Where would EU get 200,000 troops (and who would pay for it)?
Another issue is the Rules of Engagement. Will they be able to fire back at Russian attackers and with what weapons?
Most importantly, what about air power (No Fly Zone)?
If they are in Ukraine as monitors, they’ll be useless.
Compromising... People need to wake up and own the fact, this is for real. This is real and we need to make some choices and prioritize what we use our money for
Ukraine is not the last victim of Putin, Poland, Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia will be annexed, then Moldova, Romania... until it's too late.
The KFOR force in Bosnia was 40,000 men strong initially. I'm very pessimistic about this.
