you think things are bad now under PMJT, wait until Poilievre starts gutting everything and your costs do not go down, you won't admit you were wrong, because, sure own the LIBS, it's moronic and pure and utter insanity, don't @ me

Oh absolutely. Poilievre alone is bad enough. Poilievre with Trump in DC. Apocalyptic. Not to mention the global instability of conflict plus climate crisis…. Like the US with Trump, Canadians might need a little pain to appreciate what they have.
To be clear I hope it doesn’t come to that but anyone who thinks Poilievre is the leader we need for the worst of times let alone the best of times- they’re dead wrong.
But what frustrates me is the fact the Trudeau and Singh have done everything they personally can to make it easy for him. No one likes either of them as much they do PP (and that ain’t much) and literally ANYONE leading the Liberals etc would do better.
What did the PM do exactly to be lumped in with the traitorous Singh? He's been a great PM. He's a loyal Canadian trying to make life better for all of us. Sure can't say that about idiot Singh.
Who do you believe is putting the country above him/herself?
Surely not the one trying to deceive his followers about the role of the Governor General.
PMJT has been undeservedly pilloried by PP and media. It's not fair but that's the situation. With Freeland and Carney both out, it doesn't seem he can hold on much longer...hopefully, until the foreign interference report comes out....
...most important is not giving the bamboozled electorate any excuse to vote Conservative as they will destroy this country in collusion with Trump. As interim leader, he and LeBlanc should be able to handle the transition down south.
I know, I was trying to be sarcastic to whoever said they won't vote for Trudeau. I just can't believe people bypass their MPs and Premiers to blame PM for everything.
ohhh ohhh but the media will say how fabulous Poilievre is... and will spend the time between now and the election with relentless negativity about the Liberals.
I don’t know what people are thinking. Poilievre shows you with his voting record and his words who he is. He is not interested in making life better for Canadians. And no security clearance is a huge red flag for me.
People are too damn lazy to actually "educate" themselves and look into his voting record to see what he actually voted for and against. Stupidity is taking over the world and I don't if any of us really know how to stop it.
We can look forward to several more years of "I told you so" posts and memes. I can't count the number of times I've warned people #NeverVoteConservative because they *always* screw the country, the voters, the working class. But they vote for them anyway.
I want to scream this at my convoy supporting, con propaganda spewing neighbour(who I avoid like he has the plague) every time I see him in his backyard. 🤦🏼♀️
Not only will we see costs not go down, I believe we will see higher costs and worse access to health care and education, an increase in our unhoused population. Less security of persons due to deregulation and a further increase in the wealth gap.
What does he seriously have to offer when his popularity is several feet underwater? That's not going to keep the Conservatives out of power and honestly he doesn't seem to be providing effective leadership.
What he has to offer is the experience of being a good PM for over 9 years, including 4 years of dealing with the 🍊💩. What does Skippy offer? Zero legislative achievements in 20 years. Slogans. And a boatload of unanswered questions about his intentions AND his background.
Please correct me if I am wrong, but doesn't Jagmeet have his security clearance?
Could there be something in the report Jagmeet doesn't want us to see?
I don't think it's that bad. News media creates a damned if he does, damned if he doesn't situation and even many supporters buy into it. NDP should dump Jag and form a coalition against the conservatives. Just my thought
I wrote to Singh yesterday saying this exact thing. Thanks for throwing us under the bus, Jagmeet.
You can reach the office of Jagmeet Singh at [email protected]
Geez. If only the Trudeau Liberals had ever had at some point in their 10 years in power some sort of a legislative or policy option which could have protected Canadians from a looney-tune Conservative Govt. for ever.
If only, eh ..... 🙃

It's called Proportional Representation.Trudeau promised it in 2015, and then promptly broke that promise because Libs preferred unrepresentative majority govts (be they Lib or Con) over more representative minority govts.
They had a mandate for change but chose to doom us to a PP majority instead.
We would have needed to implement 'Party List Proportional Representation' or Proportional-Ranked Choice, and implementation of either of these is extremely difficult.
We should have taken it 'to the people' via referendum.
I disagree with your 'unrepresentative' comment tho.
Let's run the numbers together after the election and the results are out- which government would be in power with PLPR? PRPC? Ranked Ballots? What about the '21 election? Should we look at that? Have you done that yet?
I'm thinking @jagmeetsingh.ca is placing a dangerous bet that PMJT will step down. He can then say he was responsible and once again support the Libs.
He is such a tw*t.
NDP, delivering Conservative Govts. to Canadians time and time again.
I would not like to see the NDP in opposition.Their "support" was an albatross around the Liberals' necks. We need the Liberals to get back to centre while holding on to the progressive gains made so far which were long overdue after 9 years of Harper. We cannot move backward like the USA!
They never have and they never will form a federal party. They have only succeeded splitting the progressive vote and delivering Canadians a conservative government, time after time.
The carbon tax rebate loss alone will take thousands of dollars right out of Canadian families' pockets and we'll still be paying the tax just under another name.
Wait until you turn 67 to retire. Wait until you have to remortgage your house to pay your hospital bill. Wait until you get nothing from child tax or OAS. Wait until you still pay the carbon tax but don’t get your rebate. Wait until vets lose everything AGAIN!
Fun times, true stories.
The question before every Canadian is: do you want to live like a Canadian or an American? Conservatives support Trump word for word so expect zero healthcare and benefits under the Cons. If you want to remain Canadian, vote Liberal.
Damn straight, Cheryl in Nova Scotia. Damn straight.
Here's the thing that really bugs me. Now they've got progressives 'owning the libs' too. What Singh did this week... dammit that's so stupid. So so stupid.
When you hear "Trudeau has ruined this country" the polite translation is usually there's been too much "visible" immigration. When you scratch at the "spending money like water" it's about housing and feeding "immigrants" instead of spending the $ "on Canadians".
The vast majority of people saying this are first and second generation immigrants. They talk of their parents and grandparents arriving here "with nothing" and working hard and becoming successful.
They think in these very simplistic terms.
These parents and grandparents were refugees from war torn Europe. These parents and grandparents were economic migrants (example the British Brain Drain of the 50s and 60s).
Obviously not everyone succeeded, but most did by today's standards because of the fabulous postwar economic boom in Canada (and the USA).
With the diversification of the global economy and the shedding of industrial and production jobs to China etc. these opportunities to thrive with "minimal"
formal education have vanished.
The refugees coming here need assistance because they aren't walking into the same type of economy and they are refugees.
The language and technology barriers that both refugees and many immigrants are facing aren't easily overcome.
Where are things so bad? They don’t even know what bad
is! Just wait what’s coming at us, if we let this happen!
We are letting foreign governments and owned media
push us into disaster!
I remember the last big round of inflation in the 1980s. It was *exactly* the same: big business & media blaming the government, while corporate profits soared. At the time, I got the impression that they knew what was going on, but it was so easy to sell these ideas to Canadians.
Of course. Their job is to maintain the Lib-Con duopoly, delay the climate transition and preserve fossil fuel subsidies. They anointed Trudeau, got him to gift big oil a $35B pipeline, now they want a fresh corporatist puppet: Poilievre.
The campaign to have autocrats/dictators sitting as heads of govts *esp. ours, the last holdout* is being fanned by influencers/pundits/bots along w/ their American counterparts, because JT is a force against fascism & oligarchy, he's a threat to the very worst of them & our media is compromised.

I would prefer a Liberal-NDP-Green partnership. But if only one party can come out on top? I wonder.
Surely not the one trying to deceive his followers about the role of the Governor General.
Thet also cut VA budget.

What kind of policy are you thinking about? I'm all ears.
They had a mandate for change but chose to doom us to a PP majority instead.
We should have taken it 'to the people' via referendum.
I disagree with your 'unrepresentative' comment tho.
It would be very interesting to see. No?

NDP, delivering Conservative Govts. to Canadians time and time again.
“[Singh said] the NDP will vote to bring down the government, regardless of who is at its helm”
In fact, Singh should step down in favour of the new NDP folk hero.....Charlie Angus. Charlie would be much more successful at the polls.
Fun times, true stories.
I fear it might be 75.
TOTAL FUCKING DISASTERS every one of them.
not voting for justin trudeau.
i would vote liberal if he is gone.
Vote liberal regardless. It's our only hope.
Here's the thing that really bugs me. Now they've got progressives 'owning the libs' too. What Singh did this week... dammit that's so stupid. So so stupid.
Proof: Alberta, America
Big picture, .....'what exactly has been so egregious under the Liberal watch'?
Now, project the future under the CONS. No more programs, no more women's rights, etc.
Fact remains, ..........Canada is the #1 country in the world by many metrics.

Media isn't giving nearly as much attention to the very negative aspects of extreme conservativism, inc xenophobia, arising.
The right-wing media bias is geared to angry anti-libertarians.
