I volunteered one year as a member of the support team for a relay race around the Cabot Trail. They did it in 24 hours. It was a long event but loved it. Mind you we did see a lot of the trail at night, so not much sights.

I thought the Rockies were gorgeous until camping through Cape Breton Island. The combination of highlands & sea are truly spectacular!

Truly breathtaking and worth a return trip. Haven’t been to Churchill yet (train tracks fell apart our planned year), but thoroughly enjoyed all the rest. When in Drumheller, I recommend continuing west to UNESCO heritage sites at Writing On Stone and Head Smashed In Buffalo Jump. And Waterton!

Check out the Bas St. Laurent and Gaspe regions. Quebec is underrated because everyone thinks Montreal and Quebec City and maybe the Laurentians are it. Seemingly few even aware of Charlevoix region. May I suggest even driving East of Tadoussac to the Mingan Islands 😍

It’s been many years since I was last in Cape Breton, but I have great memories of that trip! The Fortress of Louisbourg was fantastic, as was Highland Village. Not to mention, every photo I took looked like a postcard. Beautiful place.

Like 50 years ago, my father and uncle planned a car camping trip around the Cabot trail. Insisted on planning it themselves: my Cape Breton-born mother and aunt said nothing, just watched as they anticipated it taking several days to finish the trail by car.
It took considerably less. 😂
