You're in the business of communication so if there's a gap, your audience isn't to blame (as you imply). Problem is there's no way to turn annexation into a polite radio chat. There's no "just asking questions" on a threat of war. You're doing the authoritarian's work for him and we can see it.

Good history of what is now a great walking trail!

Well said!

I know we’re all used to getting our voter card before voting, but this is a snap election and you may not get it in time! You don’t need it. Go vote! #topoli #onpoli

If you want your food delivered on time, don’t vote for Doug. If you want people to not risk their lives on the road, don’t vote for Doug. www.torontotoday.ca/local/opinio...

Please, Americans, read Charlie's latest ~ The countdown has fast forwarded and you don't have two years to flip seats. The time is now. #Resist

This guy wants the AfD to win in Germany. He wants Pierre Poilievre and the CPC to win in Canada. I don’t know about you, but given the devastation and fascism he’s doing everything he can to create in the United States and beyond, I wouldn’t vote for someone this guy likes in a million years.

Just a random reminder that trickle-down economics was invented by conservatives in the 1980s to justify massive tax cuts for the wealthy and corporations. It’s been nothing short of a disaster.

Did you feel that? A disturbance in the Force… A good one, mind you. Like a new champion for light has finally arrived. Janette Sadik-Khan @jskstreet.bsky.social has joined Bluesky. #UrbanistShoutout

One of the best comments among many!

Love this energy. ✊

You mean “the comments” that are a repeated, action-backed, direct threat to Canada’s sovereignty? Or is that “banter”? Is it “Double-Cross Country Checkup,” Ian? Will there be more on this from the Capitulation Broadcast Corporation this weekend, or is “Quirks & Quislings” still in development?

Your vote has the power to change things: To fight rising costs, build homes, hire doctors, and defend every job.

Powerful. Tomorrow’s front page of the most influential weekly publication in Germany. “BETRAYED. First Zelensky, Soon Us? The radical departure of the US from its allies.”

What if cities made walking the easier option? It's good when people want to walk. Good for physical, mental, social, health. Personal $$. Environment. It's great when cities are SAFE to walk. Sidewalks, crosswalks, places to walk to. Well-being... good cities make it easier, with infra + programs.

Brillant. Perfect. No notes.

I see some people are upset with our topic Checkup Sunday. With President Trump repeating his "51st state" comments, we feel it is important to talk about. Even better, for Americans to hear our voices via the NPR stations that will be simulcasting.

@ianhanomansing.bsky.social & the CBC: Who is making you think this is the most responsible way to address a threat to Canada’s existence as we know it? Why are you not instead doing a show on the reality of what that might mean and all the reasons we DON’T want to be 51? My dudes 🤦🏼‍♀️.

Thoughts Re: Governor Janet Mills Recent Resistance & Public Shaming Janet Mills reminds us about the courage it takes to resist in real time, in-person. While online resistance is relevant, it will never replace how we act & respond in public, without the shield of a device or large following.

My @thestar.com column: Doug Ford has found piles of cash for things like $200 cheques, vehicle registration fee cuts and a growing list of bad deals, but just can’t seem to find money to seriously address the province’s homelessness crisis. It’s a choice. www.thestar.com/news/doug-fo...

IMPORTANT! Charlie Angus has initiated a House of Commons petition to get the Canadian gov't off of X/Twitter. Sign here (I see 3,990 signatures so far): www.ourcommons.ca/petitions/en...

On this day in 1967, Pierre Elliott Trudeau declared “There’s no place for the state in the bedrooms of the nation,” and since then, we’ve legalized same-sex marriage, banned conversion therapy, and fought to protect trans rights.

Walking or driving in Toronto is so bad with all of the snow piles. I can’t even imagine what it’s like outside the GTHA. With the Feb 27th snap election, a few days away, the media should be amplifying this: if you have accessibility needs, you can request a home visit to vote. Deadline is Feb 26.

We live in a beautiful country. #Canada #Icy #Beauty (Yes, stopped to take photos)

Now, my fellow Canadians, it was only a hockey game. Let’s not be too hard on Premier Trump. 🇨🇦

Interesting house of the future father of the skyscraper!
