I had flights booked since the fall from BC to Lima, changing planes in the US on the way there and back. I just cancelled those tickets and rebooked via Air Canada through Toronto and Colombia.

I agree! International travel is important for so many reasons. Perhaps better wording would have been to remember to spend some of it here :) It’s wild how many haven’t explored our own back yard though. It’s breathtaking from coast to coast!

I wonder how much of that is just economics. I'm in the US and I've only been to...3 states for any real length of time. It's expensive to be poor and want to see the world. Even my backyard. I've been in Michigan 5 years and haven't seen much of the state.

Chantal we flew into Lisbon and then spent over 2 months in Albufeira. The temps were around 16 C, so about 62 degrees which was perfect because ww had a rooftop terrace and the direct sun-was lovely. We are now in Lisbon and on our way home on Sunday. Next year we are going to be in Tavira .

Tavira is near Faro and close to Spain. We also hope to take a tour to Morocco and Gibralter, also to Saville. The seafood is abundant and good, oranges are beyond good, Portuguese wine is good quality and cheap. Lovely country.
