fuck yes and there is NEVER a human service available its always that automated thing that's designed to frustrate you to the point of giving up or simply repeating the process ad naseum
I miss the days where they briefly tried "say what you want and our system will auto-parse it to the wrong place" where you could just raptor-screech into the phone and get three seconds of stunned silence before it gave up and put you straight through to a person.
I always pick the option for paying off a bill. They tend to answer quicker and then you tell them the real issue, fake apologise for hitting the wrong number and get transferred directly to the right dept.
It cracks me up that people worry about AI doing...exactly what human managers do. "Number go up" is simply a bad way to make decisions, and no amount of AI can fix stupid.
