The thing about the trans rape by deception provision is that it's really clearly intended to facilitate rape

Trans and intersex people in the UK need you to be loud about the new "deception as to sex" guidance released which makes trans and intersex people legally guilty of rape if we don't disclose our gender identity and/or the sex we were assigned at birth before sex.

This especially harms sex workers!

Any rape by deception provision that obliges people to disclose that they belong to a minority group is intended to facilitate hate crimes. This is one or two steps away from demanding all trans and intersex people wear a distinct patch on their clothes.

There is no imaginable way a cis person would suffer harm from not knowing that their partner was trans

But a trans person having to disclose they're trans before sex lets an ill intentioned cis person know that if they choose to violate the trans person's consent, consequences are unlikely
