I hate / like this example.
It's potentially a GREAT 'eco' design. Flimsy ugly thin plastic to do it's holding liquid job, stiff nice cardboard to make it practical and marketable. Easily disassembled for recycling. (Some butter comes in this kind of packaging here.)
The failure is the messaging.

First of all, that bottle's legal name is 'Paper Bottle' and as they explained they had no idea people would assume it is *a* paper bottle.
"We overlooked the possibility that the naming could mislead people to think the whole packaging is made of paper."
