If you’re clergy and you’re visiting a congregation in another state for worship while you’re on vacation, why would you wear clericals to church? Make it make sense.

Well...I wear clericals whenever I'm doing anything church-related. So habit, I would think. Although, I don't think I would wear them to a congregation I didn't have some kind of ongoing relationship with. Just at my hometown parish, where people know me/know that I'm ordained.
Somehow it feels like one thing to pack clericals when you're going to a place where someone might conceivably ask you to perform a clerical role, and another thing when you're going to like, a Sandals resort lol.
One of the best worship experiences I had was visiting a parish, participating fully, even having a cup of coffee, and leaving without telling anyone I am a priest.
