It took me 30 YEARS, 30 MOTHERFUCKIN YEARS!!! To get a doctor, any doctor, to look at what was really happening with me! They all told me ‘tests are normal’ & ‘maybe you should see a counselor’. I HAD LYME AND RAGING EBV AND 4 TYPES OF MOLD GROWING IN MY BODY!!! I’d asked for Lyme tests for decades

They all said, “It’s not Lyme, we don’t have that here.” 😭 I had EBV levels 4x’s the amount ppl typically have in their system putting me in the category of chronic high viral load. I had this for 30 years! I was told ‘you’re too busy’ (had undiagnosed ADHD, too), & ‘it’s because you’re a mom of 3’

Ran myriad tests… no food allergies, even though my gut was fucked! He figured it all out. My body was stuck in perpetual fight/flight having been sick for decades, and gaslit for as many. It was a wild ride and I am learning to not be quite as angry so I can live out my life in peace, and feel good

Now do overcharge costs for essential goods like tampons. Even drycleaning we pay much more. When i had to wear nylons/hose to wok 1983-2003at least, I was making 25%less than my male coworker whom I trained, but dressing for wrk cost me so much more.

Read the book Invisible Women and you’ll get a taste of how women have it tougher than men. I have to read it a few pages at a time because it pisses me off so much that I can’t even… I have to tell myself it’s not my man or my sons, so I can be nice to them after reading it.
