I prefer their early stuff, but this album is crammed with one great song after another. Joe & Mick whooping it up together on "Rudie Can't Fail" is how I want to remember them.
It's too bad that after this amazing album, the band took a fall that would make Wile E. Coyote shudder.
The timing of seeing any band never seems quite perfect. Maybe the band hasn't yet peaked or they're in decline, or maybe you're too young or old to synchronize your expectations with the music. A 14 y/o in '82 I would kinda sooner envision going to see Depeche Mode or Duran Duran.
