I was vaccinated against measles in 1964 or 65. Decided to get a titer test to measure my immunity. The nurse said Medicare doesn’t cover & the blood test was a whopping $200 or $300. She advised me to just get another shot. It was cheaper & wouldn’t hurt me. Sooo I got a measles shot.
the measles vaccine came out a year or 2 after I had them, had the german measles 3-4 times in my life, never the mumps tho. I went into the RX and since I was born in '56 them said unless I got a doctor to authorize it, they couldn't give it to me. I have Medicare and BCBS and they still said no.
“The Food and Drug Administration’s top vaccine official, Dr. Peter Marks, abruptly resigned Friday, saying in a searing letter that Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s aggressive stance on vaccines was irresponsible and posed a danger to the public.”
Neither of my parents graduated high school, but they knew a good thing when they saw it. My brilliant, loving parents made sure we were vaccinated against the viruses they witnessed firsthand.
I hope we have turned the page on the stupidity of the antivax movement.
