Sharing a new image from dad. A month after his five skin cancer surgeries, including a graft under his left eye, he can remove his eye shield, drive and walk along the beach. Most importantly, he can get back to his photography!

I took a semester class in black and white photography many years ago. I couldn’t wait for the weekend so that I could haunt my neighborhood for great shots. I hated to see the semester end. Beautiful photo 👍❤️🙏
I contracted squamous cell carcinoma about 7 years ago, which is unusual for a Coco brown complexion as I have.Since then I apply sunscreen🧴 everytime I venture outside even when there is an overcast. My mother was fair skinned and brother had a touch of melanoma.1 out of 1,000 of my complexion get it
The only thing that has gotten me through my two cancers has been the unswerving love and support from my wife and children. Never underestimate the magnitude of your contribution to his recovery just by being there and giving him a hug. My only mental determination to live was for my family.
Cool picture my dad has cataracts and macular degeneration has to go every 3 months and get the shots with the needle 💉 he's 94 glad your dad is recovering
Beautiful in all senses and levels of the word.Sometimes the Universe decides in ways that astounds us all. May he take lots of stunning pictures like these.
I am new here I'm really impressed with your profile and personality. I also admire your good sense of humor here. I don't normally write in the comment section, but I think you deserve this compliment...I'll like to be your friend if you don't mind sending me a follow request.
Yay! Lisa, tell your Dad, who does beautiful work, that there are millions of cancer survivors out here pulling for him! He needs to keep doing what he loves to do, as much as he can, every day. That will help him heal physically, and heal his soul. Cancer is an assault on your psyche, your soul...
your spirit. Doing what you love, with people you love, and laughing - a lot - are all cancer killers. Your Dad is slaying the evil dragon. May you both live long and happy lives filled with many blessings.
That is amazing… He speaks so fondly of his University of Chicago days. Here he is with my mom at his graduation with his masters in social services. (With his mom and her dad.) Please tell your mom hi from my family!
My mom was a Peruvian-born Chicagoan named Zenina - actually she passed a few years ago otherwise I would get more details. It was just always something she would mention to me in passing as she said "i knew her as a baby!" re: you. lol. All the best to your fam.
I’m so sorry for your loss. She must have known my mother who was a Chilean born Chicagoan- Lucy Guerrero. My mom was very involved in social clubs with immigrant groups from South America. 🇨🇱 🇵🇪
