Yup. Not fire but flood. A house can be rebuilt, but a home is more than a house, it is pets, mementos, irreplaceable items and more. The emotional toll is often worse than the financial one.
Lisa, what sources are there that help plant Indigenous trees and bushes and help remove the dead ones to prevent fires? So many are focusing on the now. People need to remember to donate what will help years from now.

I have a friend that lost his business in the 2017 Tubbs fire in Santa Rosa and now has lost his home in the LA fires. We all need to help in any way we can.
That is what I thought to myself. We have done it before and we will do it again as we truly understand the devastation of wildfires having dealt with them over many decades.
