Hopefully it doesn’t pass. The only reason so many democrats voted in favor of the NDAA was because it was a must pass bill needed to fund the government. There’s no guarantee that those same democrats would vote in favor of stand alone anti trans legislation.

I can promise that will not happen unless the situation drastically changes. The GOP has far more to lose from repeating the filibuster if/when dems ever gain power again than to gain, and it's highly unlikely they have the votes or appetite to end it. They're happy with reconciliation for tax cuts.

I dunno... confirming SCOTUS justices used to have to get by the filibuster too. That changed in 2017 when the Senate voted to bypass the filibuster for judicial appointments.

Yeah because the GOP had a lot to gain there. They got 3 justices through with that rule. But there's no such gains for the filibuster. The GOP mostly cares about tax cuts and maybe border wall spending and cutting social safety nets. All can be done with 51 under reconciliation.

There are less than 10 trans athletes. We don’t dominate any sport which should prove no advantage. It is a gross abuse of power. Rather than work on real issues like major increases in student loan debt, violence, they focus on less than 8 or 9 students nationally. For shame.
